1 Tbsp Canola Oil
1/2 Medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 Tbsp Garlic
1/4 Slices (1" dia) Ginger Root
1 Large whole (3" dia) Tomatoes
1/2 Cup, shredded Red Cabbage
1/3 Tbsp, chopped Green Peppers
1 Tsp Turmeric
1 Tsp Chili Powder
1/2 Tsp, ground Cumin
1 Tsp, crumbled Bay Leaf
16 Oz Ground Beef
1 Dash Salt
1 Tsp Pepper
2 Cup Fresh Cilantro


Heat a pan over medium and add oil.

Sauté the onion in the oil until translucent, then add the garlic and ginger and sauté about 1 minute more, until fragrant.

Toss in the tomatoes, let them cook down for about 1 minute, then add the cabbage, chili, spices, and bay leaf; let everything cook down for 5-7 minutes.

Then add the meat, salt, and pepper; let cook for a few minutes.

Fold in cilantro.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
