cups bite-size pieces mixed salad greens
8 medium strawberries, sliced
2 tablespoons sliced almonds, dry-roasted
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons olive oil (extra-virgin preferred)
1 tablespoon minced shallot
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
¼ teaspoon pepper (coarsely ground preferred)
1. Put the salad greens in a large salad bowl. Sprinkle with the strawberries and almonds.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the dressing ingredients. Pour over the salad. Toss gently to coat.
