We don’t have swordfish all that often, but occasionally I’ll find it on sale and buy some. It works well for this simple barbecue recipe because it’s dense enough to hold together.
1/4 cup (60 ml) barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons (20 g) chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) minced garlic
2 swordfish steaks
1. Combine all ingredients except swordfish to make marinade. Marinate swordfish steaks for 6 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
2. When ready to grill, reserve marinade. Grill or cook as desired (do not overcook).
3. Heat reserved marinade to boiling and pour over fish to serve.
