Ingredients

2 1/2 Lb Ground Beef
1 Large (2-1/4 per lb, approx 3-3/4" long, Green Bell Pepper
1/2 Medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
1 Cup Water
1 1/2 Cup Ketchup
5 Cloves, minced Garlic
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
2 Tsp Chili Powder
1 Tsp Mustard Seed
1/2 Tsp Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
1 Tsp Pepper Or Hot Sauce
1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Dash Salt
1 Dash Pepper
8 Roll (3-1/2" dia) Hard Rolls
2 Tbsp Butter

Directions

Start by browning the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Drain off the fat.

Add in the green peppers and onions.

Stir, and then add 1 cup water, the ketchup, and garlic.

Stir it around to combine, and then add the brown sugar, chili powder, dry mustard, red pepper flakes, and hot sauce, Worcestershire, salt and pepper to taste.

Stir to combine, and then cover and simmer over medium-low heat, about 20 minutes.

Serve on toasted buttered rolls and enjoy!
