Ingredients

4 Tsp, ground Cumin
1 Tbsp Coriander Seed
1 Tsp Turmeric
1/2 Tsp, whole Fennel Seed
1/2 Tsp, ground Cardamom
1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
0 Tsp Cloves
1/4 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
3 Tbsp Coconut Oil
1 Onion Onions
1/2 Cup, sliced Jalapeno Peppers
5 Cloves, minced Garlic
1 Tbsp Ginger Root
1 Cup Fresh Cilantro
10 Medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes
1 Dash Pepper
1 Tsp Salt
3 1/2 Cup Chickpeas
1 Tsp Lime Juice

Directions

Heat oil in a large skillet.

Add onion, garlic, ginger, and pepper and sauté over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes.

Turn heat down to medium-low and add the cilnatro, cumin, cayenne, turmeric, cumin, paprika, and garam masala.

Cook onion mixture with spices for a minute or two, then add the tomatoes and any accumulated juices, scraping up any bits that have stuck to the pan.

Add the water and chickpeas and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

Stir in salt and lemon juice.

Serve hot and enjoy!
