Simple Grilled Tuna Steaks

Tuna steaks tend to get tough if you cook them too long, so take them off the grill while they are still pink in the center to keep them juicy.


1/2 cup (120 ml) balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons (26 g) sugar
1 tablespoon (2.1 g) Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon (1.5 g) garlic powder
1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
1 pound (455 g) tuna steaks
1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice


1. Combine all ingredients except tuna and lemon juice and pour in a 9 x 9-inch (23 x 23-cm) glass baking dish.
2. Add tuna and marinate 15 minutes, turning frequently.
3. Heat grill to high. Place fish on grill and grill until medium doneness, about 3 minutes per side.
4. Place on serving plates and drizzle lemon juice over.
