Asian Tuna Steaks Healthy Recipe

If Asian-inspired foods are on the top of your list, then this marinated tuna steak should be added, tried and tested in a short amount of time – it is that delicious.

Shoot for 20mins of marinating time for you tuna steaks, You will also want to make sure to purchase the freshest caught fish available, as the cooking time is meant to be kept short. Start by searing each side of the tuna steak for 2 to 3 minutes, then letting it rest a few minutes before serving.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice
1 teaspoon (3 g) minced garlic
2 tablespoons (12 g) fresh ginger, peeled and minced
1/4 cup (60 ml) Reduced-Sodium Teriyaki Sauce
1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil
1 teaspoon (1.2 g) red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon (0.5 g) black pepper
3 tablespoons (12 g) fresh cilantro, chopped
2 pounds (905 g) tuna steaks

Directions

Mix all ingredients except the tuna in a bowl or baking dish that is just big enough to hold the steaks in one layer.

Add the steaks and turn them to coat.

Marinate for 30 minutes.

Grill or pan-fry the steaks, turning once, until medium to medium-rare, about 4 minutes per side.
